Dear SudaMediCa Members,
It is with immense gratitude and a heavy heart that I write to announce the closure of SudaMediCa, a platform that has been a labour of love for 15 years.
Since 2009, SudaMediCa has been more than just a website; it has been a part of my life and a home for Sudanese medical professionals to learn, connect, and grow together. This community has always been my passion, and I have dedicated significant time, energy, and personal resources to its growth. Throughout its lifespan, SudaMediCa has supported over 4,151 users, facilitating over 14,000 posts, including books and educational material. Averaging more than 2.62 contributions per day since it began, the platform’s impact on sharing knowledge and fostering professional development has been a source of immense pride for me.
Running SudaMediCa has been deeply personal. I poured my passion, my own funds—even when financially strained—and countless sleepless nights into keeping it operational. Whether it was fixing technical glitches, restoring services after hacker attacks, or ensuring the community had access to resources, it was all worth it to see members grow and support one another.
However, as I shared last November, the reality of rising costs for maintaining and developing the platform, coupled with the lack of a sustainable income stream, has made it increasingly difficult to continue. The emergence of alternative platforms for sharing educational materials has also impacted our community’s activity. After much soul-searching, and with a deep sense of loss, I have made the very difficult decision to close SudaMediCa by the end of October.
Accessing and Downloading Materials: I encourage all members to access and download any materials or resources they need from the site before the end of October. Please secure any content that may be valuable to your studies or practice, as these resources will no longer be available afterward.
Acknowledging Key Contributors: I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to those who have supported SudaMediCa throughout its journey. The late Dr. Mojahid Mohamed Abdallah, whose friendship was one of the most meaningful outcomes of SudaMediCa; Dr. Waleed Fareed, Dr. Abdelaziz Awad, Dr. Ahmed Abuzaid, Dr. Ahmed Nafa, Dr. Almoiz Abbas, Dr. Ali Dafaallah, Dr. Ayman Abass Abdulwahid Elsamany, Dr. Aymen Abdul Raheem, Dr. Ayderoos, Dr. Aya M. Taha (Aya83), Dr. Daffallah Shai el Asor, Dr. Elhadi Abd Algadir Albashir, Dr. Elhadi Hajow Hussein, Dr. Faris Elbadawi, Dr. Hussameldin (simsimali), Dr. Khalid Mahmoud, Dr. Khalid Sanhoory (khalidsanhoory), Dr. Mohamed Abbas (mohamedabass11), Dr. Mohamed Ali, Dr. Mohamed Khalid, Dr. Mortada Abdelaziz Ahmed, Dr. Mustafa Alhaj Basheer, Dr. Najat I. Mostafa Mahmoud (DR.SHADI2006), Dr. Thuraia Ibrahim, Dr. Silvana Hassan, and Dr. Samah R.
A Personal Note of Gratitude: This journey has shaped me in countless ways. SudaMediCa has not only allowed me to build lasting friendships but has also enabled me to strategise my postgraduate training, hone skills in management and web design, and develop solutions for challenges we faced together as a community. The experiences and growth have been deeply fulfilling, and for that, I am forever grateful.
Thank you, once again, for being part of this incredible journey. Although this is a difficult farewell, I hold onto the pride of everything we’ve built together, and I am grateful for every moment we shared.

مؤسف والله, لقد أحببنا هذا المكان. ألا يوجد طريقة أخرى للحفاظ على هذا الغرس الطيب؟
